The Truth Answers The Door

Being filled with the Holy Spirit doesn’t mean a lie will never knock on the door.

It doesn’t mean fear will never whisper.

It doesn’t mean old wounds will never ache.

It doesn’t mean the enemy will stop trying to remind you of who you used to be.

It means you now have the Truth living in you to answer the lie when it comes.

That’s the difference.

Not the absence of a battle, but the presence of God in the middle of it.

The battle may knock, but it doesn’t have to move in.

The thought may come, but it doesn’t have to stay.

The lie may be presented, but I do not have to agree with it.

The Holy Spirit leads me into truth.

He reminds me of what God has said.

He testifies that I belong to the Father.

He reminds me that I am chosen, accepted, loved, forgiven, and redeemed.

When insecurity knocks, I answer with truth.

When fear knocks, I answer with faith.

When rejection knocks, I answer with sonship.

When timidity knocks, I remember the Spirit of God lives in me.

I am not fighting for acceptance.

I am living from acceptance.

I am not striving to become a daughter.

I am a daughter.

The Spirit of God bears witness with my spirit that I belong to Him.

And because He is with me, I do not have to believe everything that knocks on my door.
