Letter to Myself

I look back at what I did and I see it through today’s eyes clearer, sharper, a little more understanding.
But I wasn’t standing where I stand now. I didn’t know what I know now. I was learning in real time with a heart still being shaped.
So I release the need to judge yesterday with today’s clarity.
There is grace for what I did not see. Grace for what I did not yet understand. Grace for the version of me still in process.
It meets me in renewal.
I am made new daily.
And I can smile at that now.
Some will only know an older chapter of me, but I don’t have to carry that weight.
What matters is not being fully understood by the past, but walking freely in what is true now.
I will not hold my past self to a light I had not yet been given.
Godspeed friends!
